Vintages
2016
In 2016 we had higher then average precipitation and cooler weather during the ripening period. The Botrytis development started early - in August - therefore we took special care for bunch selection for dry wines. The dry wines show lighter alcohol, fresh acidity and elegant style. We experienced rainy weather in November, therefore we decided to harvest full bunches and made Szamorodni and Late harvest wines and in this year we did not produce any Aszú wines.
2015
One of the best dry wine vintages recently for dry wines. High temperature and lack of rain especially on the southern part of the region. Therefore there were hardly any Botrytis development. One of the earliest harvest in recent years. The harvest was ideal for dry wines.
2014
2014 required special skills in the vineyards due to the larger amount of rain during the growing season. It was crucial to choose the right time for the harvest. We focussed on berry selection within bunches in the vineyards during harvest therefore less but good quality grapes arrived to the winery. The wines of 2014 show fine acidity, good structure and fi ne minerality.
2013
One of the best vintages recently. Very good weather throughout the ripening season. The harvest was ideal for both dry and sweet Botrytised wines.
2012
Dry and warm year. There were hardly any Botrytis, therefore the late harvest wines show freshness. The dry and warm conditions resulted ripe fruit characteristics on the nose and on the palate. The wines from this vintage generally have great ageing potential.
2011
Almost perfectly balanced vintage. The harvest started early, in September. Dry and warm autumn resulted less Botrytis, the year was ideal for dry selections.
2010
This year we have experienced extreme rainfalls. At summer we had to fight against fungal diseases. The harvest started late for dry wines, at the end of october. Due to the high acidity the wines require longer bottle ageing.
2009
Our first vintage gave ideal conditions at harvest resulting great possibilities for enlarging our estate. The harvest started early as it was a dry and warm year. Some first class Botrytised berries developed on ideal slopes.
